Why did we put up billboards encouraging people to save sex for marriage?

1. The vast majority of abortions are performed on women who are unmarried. The most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that 86.3% of abortions are performed on unmarried women. The abortion ratio was 46 abortions per 1,000 live births for married women and 412 abortions per 1,000 live births for unmarried women – a nine-fold difference.

2. Planned Parenthood has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to convince women that random sex and abortion are not connected. This is a lie. Abortionists, including Planned Parenthood, encourage people to be sexually active at a young age so they can sell abortion as a “fix” to unplanned pregnancy. This predatory marketing scheme intentionally pushes people to engage in risky – in some cases deadly – behavior to ensure a steady stream of revenue.

3. Abortion leaves lasting scars, both physical and emotional. The people who created this campaign include women who have had abortions and have experienced long-term negative effects that no one warned them about. We believe women and children deserve a future that does not include abortion.
